Violinist Mann-Wen Lo performs extensively worldwide as both soloist and chamber musician. Her musicianship has graced renowned venues such as Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Jordan Hall and Walt Disney Hall, earning acclaim on news media, radio and TV in the United States, Taiwan, Japan, and France. Lo is a multi-award winner in various competitions and auditions, most recently honored with the 2021 Na Hoku Hanohano Award for Instrumental Album of the Year for her work with the Mana Music Quartet.

 Lo has been a featured artist and has recorded under labels such as Warner Classics, Navona Records, and CMH Label Groups. She has performed in chamber music concerts alongside luminaries from world-renowned string quartets, including the Juilliard String Quartet, the Cleveland Quartet, and the Takács Quartet. Lo is a member of the newly formed Trio Magnolia with cellist Eunghee Cho and pianist Andrew Staupe. Lo’s exploration beyond the Western Classical genre has led to collaborations with artists such as Jake Shimabukuro (ukulele), Bèla Fleck (banjo) and Pandit Partha Bose (sitar).

 Her Festival presence includes engagements at Yellow Barn Chamber Music Festival, Menuhin Festival in Gstaad, Norfolk Chamber Music Festival, ANA Music Week, Hawaii International Music Festival and Hawaii Chamber Music Festival. Mann-Wen Lo also shares her passion for music through teaching as a violin faculty member at the University of Houston’s Moores School of Music.  

Aside from music, Lo loves reading, drawing, cooking, and watching films. She also enjoys running, yoga, learning to play Go and experimenting with cameras in her spare time.
